The low cost carrier known for its industry-leading customer service is rapidly becoming travelers' top way to reach the beach. Tickets are on sale now for Frontier Airlines' (NASDAQ: FRNT) new service between Denver International Airport (DEN) and San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO), following the U.S. Department of Transportation's final approval of the route.
The direct flights, which start Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, will be aboard Frontier's new fleet of Airbus A319 with 33 inches of legroom and DIRECTV service and pay-per-view movies in every seat back. Frontier is offering special introductory fares for as low as $298* roundtrip.
Fares must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. MDT on June 26, 2007, for travel between Nov. 30, 2007, and June 16, 2008.
Frontier is the only airline to fly directly between Costa Rica and Denver. Costa Rica is Frontier's third country served outside of the United States and 11th non-U.S. city total, with eight cities served in Mexico and two in Canada. Most recently, Frontier began flying to Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada and Guadalajara, Mexico. On June 6, 2007, Frontier will begin flying directly from Dallas to Mazatlan, Mexico, which the airline already serves via Denver. Frontier's new Costa Rica service is the Denver- based carrier's furthest expansion south to date.
"Travelers' response to Frontier's international service has been tremendous, and we're thrilled to offer direct flights between Denver and Costa Rica, our third country served from the United States," said John Happ, senior vice president of marketing and planning for Frontier Airlines. "Passengers now have a convenient, comfortable way to enjoy Costa Rica's culture, visit the country's amazing beaches, resorts and rain forests, and experience some of the best eco-tourism opportunities in the world."
Frontier Makes Family Friendly Eco-Tourism Affordable
Prior to Frontier's arrival in Costa Rica, the country's abundance of eco- educational activities and miles of beautiful beaches were accessible only through limited and high-fare service from a handful of carriers. However, beginning November 30, Frontier will do for the forests of Costa Rica what it has done for the beaches of Mexico, making leisure travel fun and affordable again.
Located in Central America, Costa Rica has become an increasingly popular tourist destination and is currently ranked as one of the most visited international destinations. Although the country is small and it covers only 0.03% of the surface of the globe, it proudly shelters six percent of the existing biodiversity in the entire world and 25.58 percent of the country is composed of conservation and natural protected territory.
Rugged highlands are found throughout most of the country, ranging from approximately 3,000 to 6,000 feet above sea level. The Guanacaste Mountain Range, Central Mountain Range, and Talamanca Mountain Range are the main mountain ranges extending the entire length of the country. There are several active volcanoes (Arenal Volcano, Irazu Volcano, Rincon de la Vieja Volcano and Turrialba Volcano) and the country's highest mountain (Chirripo Hill) with a height of 12,530 feet. The country has a relatively long coastline along both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, as well as a system of rivers and tributaries offering world class rafting and water sports.
In general, the climate in Costa Rica is very pleasant not only during the dry season, which extends from December to April but also during the rainy season, which runs from May to November. During the rainy season rain can be expected in the afternoons, on the other hand the mornings are usually sunny.
Costa Rica has a tropical climate with an average temperature of 72 degrees F that increases considerably in the coastal areas. The temperature variations throughout the country are significant and due to the short distances in this relatively small country, they can all be experienced in just one day. In addition, the varying weather microcosms and the topography of the country has created several types of forests including the cloud forest, the rain forest, the dry forest, and the transition forest.

Monorail Kicks-Off Summer Discount Ticket Promotion for Vegas Visitors
In anticipation of historically robust summer crowds, the Las Vegas Monorail Company announced that it will be offering a promotional summer fare for its one-day pass.
The summer discount promotion, which began May 26, represents a significant savings of more than 45 percent with the $15 all day pass discounted to just $8 per person.
Visitors to the world-famous Las Vegas Strip can utilize the transportation system as an alternative to walking amid the season’s steep desert temperatures, instead enjoying the Monorail’s climate-controlled interiors.
“Summer is a busy and popular season, and travel in Las Vegas is no different,” said Ingrid Reisman, vice president of corporate communications for the Las Vegas Monorail. “This year, the Monorail is kicking-off the summer season in style with the introduction of a discounted summer fare that will make riding the Monorail not only the most convenient way to travel along the Strip, but also cost-effective. As temperatures in Las Vegas soar to record-breaking heights, the Monorail’s discounted $8 One-Day Summer Pass offers just one more reason to stay cool and avoid the traffic congestion of the roadways.”
For more information on the Las Vegas Monorail or where to purchase tickets, call (866) 4-MONORAIL or (866) 466-6672; visit www.lvmonorail.com; or pick up a Monorail Magazine, available at all Monorail stations and station hotels.
About The Las Vegas Monorail
The Las Vegas Monorail is an easy and convenient connection to the Las Vegas Strip, linking riders to the city’s world-class restaurants, shows, shops, clubs, hotels and casinos. Monorail riders can travel the world-famous Las Vegas Strip in 15 minutes or less in a safe, comfortable and clean environment – without the hassles of traffic or wasted time. Currently, the privately-funded Monorail system has seven stations: MGM Grand; Bally’s/Paris Las Vegas; Flamingo/Caesars Palace; Harrah’s/Imperial Palace; Las Vegas Convention Center; Las Vegas Hilton; and the Sahara. As one of the nation’s most environmentally-friendly public transportation systems, the Monorail’s electric trains produce zero emissions and consistently run at 99 percent operational efficiency, indicating an optimal level of performance from people, processes and technology.
