Holidays for a Living Planet - Traveling Green Just Got Easier

We go on holidays for pleasure, to discover new horizons, to relax, to meet people and to learn about different cultures. Most of the time, however, we are not aware that the choices we make for our holiday can have an impact on our destination and on the people that live there. We are often equally unaware of the implications of our travel for global environmental issues, especially climate change. Fortunately, though, traveling green just got easier.

Check out the new internet-based United Nations Environment Programme, “Green Passport,” and  find practical tips for every stage of your journey, including pre-departure planning and things you can do after your return, to help  reduce your environmental and social footprint during your next vacation and discover that traveling green is not as hard as you imagined.
